STEEL CUT OATS WITH STRAWBERRIES & PECANS
This breakfast dish is filled with protein & fiber to keep you full through your morning! I top my steel cut oats with strawberries, pecans & a sprinkle of brown sugar. You could play around with your toppings to better fit what you enjoy!

- 1/2 cp steel cut oats
- 1 1/2 cps water
- 6 strawberries
- 1/3 cp pecans
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
In a small to medium sized sauce pan, add 1 1/2 cups of water. Heat over medium high heat & bring to a boil.Once the water is boiling, add 1/2 cup steel cut oats, reduce the heat to medium-low, stir & cook for 20-22 minutes. Stir occassionally.While the oats are cooking, cut up your strawberries to your desired size & set aside.Chop up your pecans to your desired size (I like mine roughly chopped, it adds more crunch).When the steel cut oats are done cooking, spoon them into 2 bowls. Top with strawberries, pecans & about a tbsp of brown sugar.Serve & enjoy!
