Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 sweet onion finely chopped
  • 1 cp celery finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 14.5 oz can fire-roasted diced tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cp chili sauce
  • 1/4 cp ketchup
  • 1/4 cp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • sprinkle dry mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • sprinkle paprika
  • sprinkle black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, start browning the lean ground beef. Break it up with a wooden spoon & when the beef is about half way cooked, add in the onion. Once the beef has browned, drain off any fat & add to the crockpot.
Add in the rest of the ingredients & stir until everything is mixed well.
Let cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. The longer, the better! Stirring periodically.
When you're ready to serve, warm up some hamburger buns, either in the microwave, for a warm soft bun, or the toaster for a crispier bun. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over the bun & you've got yourself a super sloppy sloppy-joe samwich! Enjoy!
