ULTIMATE PEANUT BUTTER HAZELNUT BROWNIES
These ultimate peanut butter hazelnut brownies are so cakey, nutty & super chocolate-y! They’ve got all the flavors you want in a brownie. To top it off, they’re ALMOST too pretty to eat! Such an easy but tasty dessert.
These have a whopping total of SIX ingredients, yes you heard me right, SIX ingredients! Nothing better than a simple dessert recipe. You can whip these bad boys up in about 40 minutes! Grab a cold glass of milk to sip on after each bite.
These are not your average brownie. These brownies, obviously, have all the chocolate but I thought it’d be fun to try them with some peanut butter, because what’s better than chocolate & peanut butter together?! The Nutella also adds to the nuttiness of these brownies with the hazelnut. You can’t go wrong with this perfect combination of flavors.
The Ingredients Needed for the Brownies
For the chocolate-y goodness, I use Nutella. It is a chocolate hazelnut spread that works perfectly in this recipe! There are other chocolate hazelnut spreads out there that will work just fine.
The peanut butter is an added bonus. A little goes a long way in this recipe. You don’t want to take away from the chocolate, you want to compliment it. So what better way to do that, then to add some nutty & slightly salty peanut butter?
To top these brownies off, you could always add some extra chocolate with chocolate chips. Just take a small handful & sprinkle them on top of the brownies before they go into the oven, because, you can never have too much chocolate right?
Tips
If you’re not a fan of peanut butter, you can leave it out. The brownies will taste just as good without the PB.
Want more chocolate? Add some chocolate chips! You could incorporate a handful of them into the brownie batter before you pour them into the baking pan or sprinkle them right on top of the brownies before they go into the oven.
You could serve the brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or with a simple glass of milk.
I highly recommend eating these shortly after they’re out of the oven when they’re slightly cooled but still nice & warm.
ULTIMATE PEANUT BUTTER HAZELNUT BROWNIES
Ingredients
- 1 cp Nutella
- 1/4 cp peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp salted butter melted
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cp all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.Line a 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper & leave about a 1 inch overhang. I will lightly coat the bottom of the pan with coconut oil so the parchment paper will stay in place better.In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Nutella, eggs, butter & vanilla until smooth. Add in the flour & mix until combined (don't over mix).In the prepared baking pan, pour in the brownie batter. Using a spatula, spread it out so it's an even layer. In the microwave, warm up your peanut butter until it reaches a more liquidy consistency. Pour over the brownie batter & take a toothpick or butter knife & quickly swirl it in to the batter.Bake until the brownies are set & a toothpick comes out clean - about 25 minutes.Let the brownies cool - about 15-30 minutes.Use the parchment paper overhang to take the brownies out of the pan. Slice them up & enjoy!
